We have demonstrated our commitment to innovation by introducing the new 400 Volt range of luminaires - the result is an entirely new technique developed by us in close cooperation with Philips.

Its benefits? More supplementary light, increased production, improved quality and
lower energy costs per product unit. The new 400 Volt range is the very first supplementary light system which has been especially developed for use in the glasshouse industry.

As a grower, you know this better than anyone: Plants need this broader spectrum. Supplementary light systems have traditionally been equipped with 'regular' street lighting lamps. At Hortilux Schreder we thought it was high time for a supplementary light system that is entirely tailored to horticulture, and that therefore creates optimum growth conditions for your plants.

PERFECTLY SUITED FOR 400 VOLT

To create such an innovation, we took a close look at the existing 600 Watt Green Power lamp and together with Philips we changed the lamp concept, and also modified all relevant components in the luminaires for optimum tuning. The result is striking. A new range of supplementary light systems perfectly suited for use at 400 Volt.

The appearance of the new 400V/600 watt SON-T Plus lamp (Green Power) does not differ much from the ;old' 230 Volt lamp. However, its performance does.

INCREASED PRODUCTION

Hortilux Schreder's new 400 Volt range includes many benefits for you as a grower, the considerable increase in the supplementary light rate is of course one of the most essential ones. Previously approx. 30 % of the energy supplied was converted into supplementary light using the 'old' 230 Volt lamp, and now with the 400 Volt luminaire this increases to an approx. minimum 33 %. This means an increase of not less than 10 %. This breakthrough of more supplementary light will result in increased production. Additionally, your plants will become much more healthy and the quality of your product will improve accordingly.

Actually, the major part of supplementary light can only be seen by the plants, the light when seen by the human eye is a little whiter.

LOWER ENERGY CONSUMPTION

By using the latest technology, Hortilux Schreder's new 400 Volt range consumes the same amount of energy as the currently used on 230 Volt systems. This means that you will realize an increased return on investment for the same energy costs. This return on investment is even better because in addition to the benefits detailed above, the life of the 400 Volt lamp has been considerably extended and the decrease in light through time will be minimized.

In other words: by tuning all the luminaire components to one another the degeneration of light output from the lamp over time is reduced far more than would have normally been expected.

Hortilux Schreder's new 400 Volt range has yet one other important benefit to you. Because we replaced the phase/neutral connection by a phase/phase connection we have taken away the source of the `third harmonic current', and thereby solved many of the problems within lighting systems in glasshouses.
